Privacy Policy

Information stored by the site

The site stores video IDs, listing text, categories, bids, confirmation times, listing changes, outbound click records, and messages you submit. These records are held in the hosted database.

Listing details, rank, bid amounts, bid history, and click totals are publicly visible to anyone who opens the board. Contact messages and reply email addresses are available to the site owner through a protected inbox.

YouTube metadata and thumbnails

Pasting a valid link sends the video ID to YouTube’s public metadata service to retrieve its title, channel name, and thumbnail address. Cached metadata is refreshed when it is requested after 24 hours.

Thumbnails load from YouTube’s image servers. These servers receive normal network information, such as your IP address. Videos play on YouTube when you choose to open them. See Google’s Privacy Policy for its practices.

Cookies and device storage

• A necessary cookie identifies your checkout browser for 30 days. It helps protect unfinished checkouts and identify the original listing submitter.
• A temporary tab reference can resume an unfinished checkout.
• Your light or dark appearance preference is stored on your device.

Clearing browser data can remove your access to browser-bound checkouts or listing editing. Contact the owner if you need help with a listing.

Click counting and hosting

Outbound clicks are deduplicated using a hashed browser identifier, video ID, and UTC date. At most one click per browser, per video, per day is counted. This application does not store raw IP addresses for those counts.

The hosting platform and YouTube may process their own request logs. The leaderboard is publicly accessible. Owner sign-in uses a private password and an essential session cookie. The site stores a hash of that session token and its expiry time. Hosting and database services are provided by Hostinger.

Messages and external links

If you use Contact or Report, the site owner can read your message and any reply email address you provide. Messages are saved to the owner inbox; the site does not send an automatic email reply.

The creator’s X profile is an external link. No X feed or tracking widget is embedded. If you follow the link, X handles that visit under its own policies.

Retention and removal requests

Listing and transaction records are retained to operate the board, resolve disputes, process refunds and meet applicable recordkeeping requirements. Use the contact page to request removal of your data or ask a privacy question. Include enough information to identify the relevant listing or message.

Payments

Dodo Payments handles checkout, billing information and payment methods. VideoBid sends the product, amount and an internal order reference to Dodo. It stores payment and checkout references, verified amounts, payment/refund states and your acceptance of the purchase terms. It does not store card numbers or security codes.

Dodo may collect your name, email, billing address, tax details and payment information under its Privacy Policy. We retrieve payment details to verify transactions but do not intentionally persist your billing address or card details in our database. The operator is Vishal Gupt; use Contact for privacy requests.
